James Hartley
Managing Director
James co-founded Serrations with his father in 1993 and has spent decades helping develop the business into a globally respected specialist manufacturer and market leader in quality tungsten carbide inserts for surgical instruments.
With deep knowledge of its products, processes and customers, he remains focused on quality, long-term relationships and preserving the specialist expertise that has shaped the business.
Outside work, James is a father to two daughters and has rediscovered his love of running following a recent hip replacement.
Bryony Hartley
Operations Manager
Bryony joined Serrations in 2016 and is now Operations Manager, bringing structure, organisation and calm problem-solving to a wide-ranging role spanning quality, health and safety, HR and business operations.
Having studied French and Spanish at Bradford University, she also supports Serrations’ international relationships and plays a key role in helping the business continually improve and grow.
Outside work, Bryony enjoys travelling, running and spending time with her family.
John Strawinski
Production Manager
John is Production Manager at Serrations, having joined the business as an apprentice in 2000 and grown alongside the company ever since.
With extensive hands-on knowledge of its machines, products and processes, he plays a key role in maintaining quality, solving problems and keeping production running smoothly.
John is a father of one, and in his spare time, he enjoys playing golf.
Rhiannon Lassiter
Head of Marketing and Communications
(Kaleidex Group)
Rhiannon is a holistic marcomms (marketing and communications) strategic manager. She delivers a range of public-facing functions including digital and social presence, conferences and other events, public relations and press, printed material production and customer relationship management messaging.
As Head of MarComms for Kaleidex Group, Rhiannon strategically leads the marketing function for Serrations and the other business units that are part of the wider group.
Outside work, she writes science fiction and fantasy novels for young adults and teaches a dance fitness class.
